Home Educated Forest School Sessions

At Cheshire Forest School we offer a full day of Forest School for Home Educated/Flexi-Schooled children aged 4-11. There may also be an opportunity for your child to attend if they are slightly older so please contact us for more details.

Our sessions are run by experienced qualified teachers and Forest School Leaders.

Our young people have the opportunity to engage in a play-centric, self-directed environment where they can choose to follow their own interest and explore freely.

New for 2025, children can choose to follow The Wild Passport which has five separate competencies to take learners from the very foundations of woodland skills right through to an advanced level.

Our Home Educated Sessions offer children the opportunity to:

  • Settle in at their own pace

  • Connect with other children and be part of a community

  • Participate in a range of self-directed hands-on projects

  • Enjoy the wonderful delights and the changing seasons of the woodland

  • Read a book in our chill-out area

  • Work with a range of tools to create exciting projects

  • Learn through play

  • Relax in our hammocks

  • Learn to light a fire and cook on it

  • Play in our mud kitchens, water, music, digging areas and on swings

  • Work towards their Wild Passport
